T & C

Please be aware that a wedding celebrant is not a registrar. You will still need to contact a registry office to get your marriage certificate. This does not involve a ceremony and is a simple and cheap procedure (good job, because weddings can cost a bomb!). I’ll talk you through all this once we have secured the booking. I’ll send you a PDF of our terms and conditions after our initial meeting, but let’s face it, nobody reads that stuff properly so I’ll also talk you through it when we’re good and ready. Below are a few things to bear in mind.

GDPR

You can expect complete confidentiality from me at all times and nothing that we do together will be used on this website or anywhere else without explicit permission. In return, I would ask that you don’t discuss or share anything that we do up to the big day itself!

CONTRACTS

I do ask that we sign contracts once we have agreed to work together. These will be legally binding and cover us both.

OUR FEES

There is only one fee – we don’t offer a sliding scale as we want you to know that you are getting everything we have to offer. You then choose how much (or how little) you want. The cost of this service is spread out over three payments. The first 25% is due within 72 hours of our introductory zoom meeting. The second 25% is payable once we have completed our second meeting when we go through your questionnaire and begin to plan your wedding ceremony. The final 50% will be due after our final zoom call , which should be within ten and twelve weeks before the happy day. The first two are non-refundable as they cover preparatory work and my time. The final payment is non-refundable, unless I am forced to withdraw my services through accident or illness. Sorry this is a bit boring and factual, but it’s best to get it out of the way.

COVERAGE

Paul is based in Nottingham and the fee covers anything within a thirty mile radius. Beyond that will be subject to further expenses to cover travel, etc.
